The East Prairie Chamber of Commerce is excited to introduce the first-ever Pedal Pageant, sponsored by Dahlbeck Distillery. This contest invites participants to showcase their decorated bikes in various fun categories, with a special Rider's Choice award decided by festival attendees. Join us in celebrating creativity and community spirit and Sweetcorn!

Key Dates
  • Registration Deadline: June 20
  • Judging of bikes (by out-of-town judges)
  • Voting Period for People's Choice: Friday night and Saturday of the festival
  • Winners Announced: Sunday, June 29 on EPSweetcorn.com and Chamber of Commerce Facebook page

Contest Categories
  1. Prettiest: 
    Overall aesthetic appeal, color coordination, and visual impact.
  2. Corniest: 
    Use of corn-related elements, creativity in incorporating the sweetcorn spirit.
  3. Best Business Representation: 
    Best example of the business it is sponsored by - If you know the bike, you know the business!
  4. People's Choice & Riders Choice: 
    ​Based on popular vote from the community and on Tour de Corn rider's choice.

Registration
  • Process: Participants must register for the contest through the Chamber of Commerce or on EPSweetcorn.com by June 20.
  • Details Required: Participant’s name, contact information, location of bike (must be located in Mississippi County, Mo.)

Contest Rules
  1. Participants must be registered by 11:59 p.m. CT June 20.
  2. Decorations must be safe and respectful for the community. Embrace the positivity of EP Sweetcorn!
  3. Participants should ensure their bikes are on display  in the designated area for judging and public viewing through June 29.
  4. The Chamber of Commerce has the right to refuse entry for any bike they do not feel communicates a positive message or is reflective of the standards of the event.
  5. Each entry can only win one category. If a bike wins one of the People's Choice or the Rider's Choice, it will be eliminated from the other categories. So five different bikes will win the event.

Voting Process
  • Riders Choice Voting:
    • QR Codes Voting stations with ticket buckets will be set up outside Dahlbeck Distillery.
    • Each rider gets one ticket to cast their vote.
    • Voting is open on Friday night and all day Saturday until the evening.
Prizes
Prizes will be sponsored by Dahlbeck Distillery and will include:
  • Prettiest: $25
  • Corniest: $25
  • Best Business Representation: $25
  • Peoples Choice: $50
  • Riders Choice: $50​​
