Introducing Prairie Roots Road at the Main Street Party and EP Sweet Corn Festival! 

We’re proud to launch Prairie Roots Road — a dedicated space within the EP Sweet Corn Festival celebrating and supporting local youth organizations.

This special area offers reduced-rate booth spaces for school groups, youth teams, and local kid-focused charities, making it easier for them to raise funds and share their mission with our festival crowd.

Who’s Eligible?
To qualify for a booth on Prairie Roots Road, groups must meet these criteria:

Local Affiliation
  • Based in East Prairie or Mississippi County, Mo.
  • Serving the East Prairie community (schools, youth sports, clubs, etc.)
  • An adult must be present at the booth at all times

Youth-Focused Mission
  • Beneficiaries are primarily individuals under 18
  • Eligible groups include K-12 school organizations, youth teams, scouting groups, FFA/4H , band, cheer, and youth-focused nonprofits

Fundraising Purpose
  • Booth activities must raise funds for a non-commercial, community-focused goal (like team travel, new equipment, educational trips, or program support). You ARE able to sell goods, services or raffles.

Non-Commercial Operation
  • Booths may not be operated by businesses or individuals for personal profit
  • Items sold or funds raised must fully benefit the organization or youth group — no commercial resale allowed

Verification Required
  • Groups must complete a short application including:
    • Name & contact of the organization or leader
    • Description of fundraising goal
    • Explanation of how funds will be used
    • (If applicable) school or parent organization contact for confirmation

Limited Spaces Available
  • Space is limited! Priority may be given to groups that have not participated before or who meet all criteria most clearly
  • The organizers have the right to refuse any group
  • Space is NOT guaranteed until the application is complete and the reduced payment has been made.
